Am 26.01. have 2 of my favorite bands released new records! Firstly, the Dir En Grey with the single "LOTUS" and the other Girugamesh with her new album "GO". After a few days of intensive listening now I give my views on these two publications to mustard!
Let's start with Dir en Grey on! The 1 Contain the single of the song "Lotus" is. In the first few bars I had to be strong think of the first single "Hageshisa to, Kono Mune no Naka de Karamitsuita Shakunetsu Yami no" and had a bit concerned that the back then a number Schrammel grunts, but these concerns have not materialized to happiness.
"Lotus" is really a very beautiful song in which Kyo finally shows once again that he can sing too. Moreover, the text is really very nice ( HERE at Yuki is to find the translation!) and also the video for the song convinces without the otherwise very often found disgust factor in Dir en Grey Videos ! Finally have a Dir en Grey song that in one direction is that I like much better than this 08/15-Deathmetal-Songs that makes them in a lot lately made too often. A bit lacking with even the catchy factor á la "The Final" on the song, but what is not, can come in the future! ^ __ ^
Get out on the single with a new version of the song "Obscure," which many would probably be known by this "nice" video ! °__°; The new version definitely sounds for the new Dir En Grey-sound that the band has since their last album, "Uroboros," and sounds so different from the original version. Anders does not have to necessarily be bad! Even though I understand in some ways no more, that it is really still about "Obscure" is because it really sounds different, I like this new version are very, very good!
Finally you get to the live version of "Reiketsu Nariseba" still got something for your ears! I could hear the first time out does not mean that there is a live version, because it really sounds very studio standard. Only the cheers of the audience at the end of the song has revealed that it probably has to be a wirklch Kozert recording. Anyway, the song offers a lot of instruments Geschrammel a little bit of Kyo's sing-song, the He occasionally in more or less abstract form at concerts reveals (.. if you want to hear this chant even in some abstract form, should watch THIS VIDEO that I could mitfilmen at a concert in 2009!) .
We now come to Girugamesh! I have so far only the Limited Edition version of the album, that means the version with 9 songs. The "Opening" already sounds like the last song used electronically and Satoshi tries to recover a bit on rap. It does not sound bad, leads to a very good album and make a great transition to the next song "Destiny" the rather rocky start. The joy was great, because after the last singles, all of which used to have quite a few with the rock style of cooperation, had in any case, restore a few harder songs! But then:? REFRAIN O_O Why is urging me to feel this again, I would listen to just any anime Opening .. In "Inochi no ki" that was quite nice , but now again? Well, let's see what's coming ..
With "Exit" to get a song that is quite impulsive, but somehow leaves the same anime-opening experience. "color" you already know from the single release and since it is not a new recording is to spare I now have a new commentary! ^ ^; The following song "Mission Code" is finally back closer to the typical Girugamesh feeling! Very danceable, a little pop-rock, the more guitar, but also a lot of programming, but definitely a catchy tune! can go further
's with "Mienai KYORI", a fluffy-light song that you can sprinkle the beautiful and admired Satoshi's Sangeskünste. However, I would have expected such a song rather from other bands. The heavy, but somehow uplifting ballad " Saikai " might as well Anime Ending At its settings. Is perhaps in-house advertising? Girugamesh .. really want to make perhaps soon Opening-/Ending-Songs? Would be obvious, right? XD
The penultimate song "Never Ending Story" stands out pleasantly, because the tempo of the song has been compared to the other songs on the album noticeably tightened, but by and large, the song is nothing special. "Inochi no ki" is the end of the album and also indeed in advance as a single published , which this song would be nothing new.
CONCLUSION:
Dir en gray quite frankly surprised me so that they can again move away a bit from this American metal sound and have thus clearly re-plus points gathered with me. It continues in that direction and they find their own individuality, then they definitely will soon end up back often in my music player! Songs can be creative, sing along where you headbang, dance:
Girugamesh shine on the other hand with imagination and increasingly move away from what they did to my favorite band! I sincerely hope that they rip out stuff and still live to compensate for the weak impression of the album can again!
All in all, the point is therefore to
Dir En Grey ! ° __ °
